let me tell u the quickest way...ask the tax driver.. to go Yang ming Moutain. Then ask him to cross the "馬槽橋" .
There is one called 松柏閣. It has reasonable price..thought it dosen't have any fancy decoration ...but I think their quilty is fine.

The hotspring water is the best quality~also it is the source of the hotspring..
Otherwise u can ask Tax driver to pick one..most of them are very familiar with the hotspring.

about hotspring...U can google it "Hotspring" u will see lots of defination.

cheers!

Natural hot spring bath is very popular in winter time.
In taipei, you can take the MRT to Beitou where many hot spring resorts are located. Bring bathing suits if you want to go to the outdoor pools.

If you are here during the summer, not sure if hot spring is suitable as it is VERY hot in Taiwan. However, if you have people to drive you around, I suggest Wu-Lai. It has free hot spring tub right next to the river. So, if you get hot, just dip in the river to cool off.

Another option is "cold spring," which is very refreshing in warm weather. In the north of Taiwan, they are located in Yi-Lan area. You are welcome to email me if you want more details.
