Answers

According to our Ministry of Foreign Affairs, USA is one of the Countries eligible for Visa-exempt entry. You can get more detail from our official website:
Nope, you don't need a visa with a US passport.
No, US citizens do not need separate visas for Taiwan en route to China, you have an automatic 30 visitors visa
US Citizens could come to Taiwan and stay one month without visa.
No U dont need one for staying up to 30 days.
As everyone said, no need for separate visa to enter Taiwan, but you will need a visa to enter China.
NO ! you dont need it.Just feel free to come here.
Yes, we are two different countries, so you will need separate visas to visit Taiwan and China.
No, you do not need a visa, although you will need one for going to mainland China - you will need to get this BEFORE you arrive in Taiwan, as there is no way of getting one here.
As a US citizen holding a valid passprt, you don't need to apply for a visa if you are staying in Taiwan for less than 30 days. However, if you decide on staying longer than a month I would suggest enquiring at the Taipei Economic office in the US, before you leave.
